"I gained an appreciation for the dedication, talent and study required to lift your playing to another level..."
I started playing guitar at the age of 10 and was influenced by many pop bands in the 70s. I enjoyed writing original music and primarily played an acoustic guitar. It wasn't until I was in my late teens that I heard recordings of classical guitarists and was impressed with their sound and mastery of the instrument. At the time I worked in a music store and eventually got the money together to buy a cheap but surprisingly playable classical guitar.
After a number of years improving my technique and sight reading, I was able to play various studies and compositions. I then went on to study classical guitar at the Music School Settlement in Cleveland, Ohio and after a slight detour on my real career (technology) I ended up in Dallas, Texas. There I studied under the direction of Carlo Pezzimenti, where I gained an appreciation for the dedication, talent and study required to lift your playing to another level. I also gained an awareness of the nuance of the instrument.
I taught guitar at various studios in the greater Cleveland area and entertained around Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas, in coffee houses, restaurants and private events.
Today I am fortunate enough to be able to dedicate my time and efforts in areas of my choosing. I try to balance investing/trading, with arranging and producing original music, which is still my primary musical passion. I am an avid reader and follow social media influencers in geopolitics, finance and innovation; that is while I'm not relaxing around coastal southwest Florida.
I hope you enjoy my music.
